District BNP wants to gather at least 60 thousand people from Bogra in BNP’s divisional mass meeting in Rajshahi. The leaders of the party are hopeful that people from all walks of life will participate in the program and create a mass wave against the illegal government. All-out campaigning is being carried out in Bogra for this.

BNP has already formed a parliamentary seat-based subcommittee to make the rally a success. The leaders of each organizational unit are given direction by the district BNP. The members of the committee are taking various action plans by meeting from time to time. Leaders and activists distributed leaflets among people of different classes and professions in Bogra city today.

Rajshahi Division has announced a strike from December 1 to protest against cases and harassment against workers in the name of stopping illegal traffic on Nachiman-Kariman highway and checking documents.

In this regard, district BNP president and mayor of Bogra municipality Rezaul Karim said that a transport strike has been called by owners and workers to prevent the gathering of people in Rajshahi mass gathering. Apart from this, 12 ‘gaybi’ cases have been filed against more than a thousand leaders and workers in 12 upazilas of Bogra. But no obstacle will work. At least 60,000 people from Bogra will participate in the program of Rajshahi, facing all conspiracies and obstacles.

BNP has called a departmental mass meeting in Rajshahi on December 3 to protest against the increase in prices of daily commodities including fuel oil, the killing of party leaders and workers and demand a non-partisan government. Earlier, BNP held divisional rallies in Mymensingh, Khulna, Chittagong, Rangpur, Barisal, Sylhet, Comilla with the same demand.

According to party sources, 12 cases were registered against BNP leaders and workers in 12 police stations of Bogra in 10 days from November 17 to November 26 ahead of the Rajshahi rally. Accused 522 in these cases. There are more than five hundred anonymous defendants. 20 people were arrested. Among them, cases have been filed under the Explosive Substances and Special Powers Act, alleging cocktail attacks on the police in Bogra Sadar, Shajahanpur, Sariakandi and Sonatala upazilas. The plaintiff in these cases is the police. Awami League leaders have filed a case against BNP leaders and activists in Sherpur, Dhunat, Nandigram, Kahalu, Adamdighi, Shibganj and Gabtali upazilas for allegedly attacking the march of Awami League and allied organizations.

Bogra District BNP General Secretary Ali Azgar Talukdar said that before every rally an attempt was made to stop the flow of people by calling a transport strike. But the government did not succeed. Police and Awami League joined forces to file a case in Bogra in front of the Rajshahi rally. In 10 days, 20 leaders and activists were arrested and sent to prison. But no conspiracy can stop the flow of people in Rajshahi rally.

Ali Azgar Talukdar also said that Bogra, the birthplace of party founder Ziaur Rahman, is known as the stronghold of BNP. The largest number of people will attend the rally in Rajshahi from Bogra. Although they have prepared to ensure the presence of 60 thousand people, lakhs of people will go to Rajshahi from Bogra.
